As we continue to purchase reading materials for
out students, we are constantly analyzing the spectrum of difficulty
to cover all ranges of academic ability. Consequently, the money
received through the Education Foundation from The Rotary Club
of Myrtle Beach literacy grant was used to enhance our literacy
collection to serve more students at Myrtle Beach Elementary.
From the Verizon technology grant we were able to purchase additional
televisions for the classrooms to ensure all students are able
to watch our student produced morning show. This grant will also
aid in the work our studnets are going on power point presentations
for parents and visitors entering our school detailing information
about school events, celebrations and general information. We
were also able to update our existing overhead projectors and
buy additional projectors for our teachers to facilitate classroom
instruction for our students.
